About me

My name is Branko Rihtman and I usually wear three hats:

1. M.Sc student of Molecular Ecology at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Biology is my first love and my future. I’ve known that this is what I am going to be doing for the rest of my life since I was about 5. My M.Sc thesis topic is NtcA – a nitrogen stress related transcriptional regulator in marine cyanobacteria. I am doing it in Dr. Anton Post’s lab at thePlant and Ecology department of Life Sciences Institute at Hebrew University.

2. SEO Specialist at Tens Technology. Since my first encounter with the Net, back in 95 in my high scool’s computer lab, I was intrigued by search engines and searching. The first search engine I ever used was Web Crawler and I used it mainly to find lost friends and news about my war-torn hometown of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After that I became somewhat of a search freak and was known among my friends as a guy to go to when you need to find something on the net. From there to SEO the path was short and I joined Tens in 2001. Since then I have been optimizing websites and trying to learn as much as possible from other experts through forums and blogs, some of which can be found in the blogroll.

3. Father to Noah (15 months) and husband to Tanya (a bit more :) ). Although sometimes neglected for the first two hats, they make everything else worthwhile…
